Carboxytheraphy

SUMMARY INFO

The beneficial effects of carbon dioxide (CO2) were first noticed in the Royal Thermal Baths of Royat, France, in 1932, due to its ability to heal wounds very quickly.

Carbon dioxide, unlike carbon monoxide, is not toxic for the body.

Carboxytheraphy

Carboxytheraphy is based on a normal body process. By injecting carbon dioxide, an increased oxygen production is induced and so CO2 is eliminated, which is exactly what happens with the breathing mechanism. When small and perfectly safe doses of carbon dioxide are injected into the skin, they trick the cells into increasing their oxygen production, which in turn increases blood circulation and leads to the removal of toxins in an absolutely natural and harmless way.

It is mostly used in treating cellulite, stubborn fat, black circles under the eyes, stretch marks, hair loss and aging.

The treatment is based, in all cases, on the fact that the cell is better oxygenated. In case of cellulite, increasing oxygenation helps in blood flow increase and collagen reconstruction, resulting in an improved appearance of the skin, as it becomes firmer and smoother. When it comes to localized fat deposits, due to the mechanical pressure applied to the fat cells by the dioxide, they break down and they are promptly removed because of the better blood flow. As for the black circles below the eyes, the increased blood flow replaces the dark color with a healthier pink. In stretch marks, the much more efficient blood flow leads to collagen reconstruction. In hair loss, vasodilation (dilation of the blood vessels) allows enhanced nutrition of the hair follicle. In anti-aging treatments, increased oxygenation pumps life into all skin cells.

The gas is transferred by using a micro-needle into the affected area. In general, 8-10 sessions are required, depending on the nature and extent of the problem, with an interval of 3 to 7 days between. There may be a slight discomfort upon gas infusion, which is perfectly tolerable, and some mild bruising may appear on the infusion areas.

The results are quite impressive, especially in combating cellulite!
