Needle Shaping

SUMMARY INFO

LIFTING FROM THE FUTURE WITH NEEDLE SHAPING

Skin tightening is one of the most difficult anti-aging treatments. Sagging skin begins to appear after the age of 30-35. The skin begins to lose its elasticity, while collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid reduce, causing the skin to hang loosely and resulting in formation of wrinkles. Sagging becomes noticeable and visible after the age of 40. Of course, aging always depends on a person’s life quality, smoking, stress, obesity, diet and exercise.

Needle Shaping

Non-surgical skin tightening procedures have been growing in popularity and are set to be the hottest anti-aging skincare trends, as they do not require anesthesia, stitches, operation, leave from work or a high cost. The most popular of them are PLEXR non-surgical blepharoplasty, non-surgical lifting with needle shaping and O.F.F. micro-lipolysis. Skin tightening is achieved through the needle shaping technique.

What is needle shaping? This procedure is a microsurgical technique that helps to increase the volume of lips, cheekbones, and other areas of volume loss in the face, without injecting of any substances. It has spectacular results in skin tightening in difficult body areas, such as the arms, inner thighs, knees, buttocks (along with a butt lift).

What do we need? Tiny acupuncture needles and a device called Vibrance. The device produces three types of electric current, which increases its effectiveness. During the procedure the patient does not feel any discomfort, except when applied in very sensitive body areas.

How is the technique performed? Acupuncture needles are placed in the face or body on the area being treated. Treatment means production of collagen and wrinkle filling or skin tightening without the help of any extra material, namely hyaluronic acid or threads. With the use of this technique we can make autologous threads; that is, threads made of our own collagen.

How it acts: With the help of acupuncture needles, collagen and elastin fibers can be wrapped, thus creating more tissue volume.

How it can be explained:

Our skin has several properties. One of these is viscosity or, in other words, viscoelasticity. This means we can stretch it without tearing. For example, 10 cm of skin can be stretched to 15 cm of skin with no distortion. One such example is a pregnant woman whose belly skin, during pregnancy, expands to accommodate the fetus. In the case of needle shaping, we have a fiber micro transplant. Thus, we also have an increase in volume and formation of new collagen. The results are visible from the very first session. A side effect is bruising in patients taking anticoagulants or fish oils. 4-6 sessions within 1-1.5 year to obtain a sustainable result and 1-2 sessions per year for maintenance will be required.
